With over 13 years experience as a team and over 55 years combined experience as a team in the games industry, CyberLink Gaming should be your number one choice to outsource your gaming project.
We can design and develop computer games for the PC, Flash (browser
based games), Android Phones, iPhone and iPad and Java (Mobile Games).
We can and will work very closely with you on your project at all times
liaising back and forth until the final build and even offer pro-active
support AFTER your project is complete to ensure everything is running
as smooth as it should be.
Why CyberLink Gaming you may ask? Let us tell you why...
Concept
You approach us with a concept or an idea of the game you want
developing! The concept is the most vital part of getting any kind of
production started, without the concept we have no framework or
foundation to build from. We will assist you with the concept to try and
angle the direction, once we have accomplished a firm base with goal
distribution on an estimated timeframe it's time to start the design
process.
Design
The design process is pretty straight forward with lots to offer for
both you as a client and ourselves as the production team. We can work
together to design the game in a structural way. This is where we define
the game, we define the rules, the logic, the puzzle, the learning
curve, the graphics, the detail, the extras and so much more. It's
pre-production material for our engine programmers to delve with whilst
developing the engine and/or
game. All the assets are created by the art
team which drives the programming team in the right direction.
Implementation
Even though the pre-production material is probably finished by the
time this keyframe is hit in the timeline, the artists and directors
still work closely with the programming team to give guidance in
direction, assist with any artistic needs and share visions. The
programming team at this point will have started the engine to run the
game on, the engine is what drives and functions the game's core. There
is usually more than one developer working on the engine, with multiple
programmers working on specialist areas such as AI (Artificial
Intelligence), Rendering, Input and Output, Networking and the main game
play code. This is the bit where most if not ALL of the development
takes place in completing the end product (The Game).
Testing
Once a product is in BETA stage (secondary production stage) it is
viable to have testers on board quite early or when at least there is a
'model framework' for them to test. BETA testers come in a variety of
different people, which is good, because if we hired our own BETA
testers they would most probably be accustomed to the gaming engine and
could easily bypass simple bugs or problems, so we always look out for a
diverse amount of people to BETA test, most of them will try everything,
go everywhere and test the game to it's limits to produce bugs, which
then enables the developers to iron out those bugs before release.
Deployment
This is the final stage of the game development. It enables wrapping
up of the product, building a marketing campaign, finding a publisher
(if one is needed) and distributing through the correct channels.
Overview
Even though this process explained may seem rather simple, it's because
it generally is. This brief overview literally is brief, however, it can
get as deep and complex as the project set out can be, it doesn't have
to be. As a side note, you must remember whilst you are 'Outsourcing'
your work to us, the work is
still yours. All the intellectual property
is yours. This also means that whilst you have outsourced your game
project for us to build, you still have the final say over the product!
When it comes to the deployment stage it is entirely up to you what to
do with your product, sure we can assist and do like to assist wherever
possible, but if your line to us is 'Just produce the job at hand' we
can do that too. We are contracted by yourself to do one job and that is
create the computer game and/or application you need. What you do with
it is entirely up to you, we just like to offer as much help as we
possibly can in our industry.
Deadlines
For obvious reasons we cannot state deadlines here, as there is no
project to state a deadline to. However, we do set pseudo-deadlines in
all of our projects. We always allow time either side -/+ of the
deadline to allow room for testing, post-rendering etc. Rest assured we
always try our utmost to meet deadlines for projects.
Rates
Rates are what everyone is always looking for, but without a project to
review, we couldn't possibly give any rates. With our professionalism we
don't like to think the service we offer is just a 2-bit run of the mill
service that a client can send us a game concept and we quote on the
spot. This is completely unprofessional. We prefer to discuss your
project entirely, speak as a team, get some input, build a
structure and build a timeline.
We couldn't say our rates are competitive either, as we don't actively seek job offers for game development and production. If we are pushed to our limits with a project or multiple projects we will certainly let you know when the soonest time is for us to be available for your project. Again, this isn't a public service that is offered on a whim, we like to engage and build a relationship with someone who wants to outsource CyberLink Gaming for their game development needs.
Final Brief
Even though we are extremely busy all year round on gaming projects and
developing computer games, we also strive to help out in the corporate
sector as well as the public sector in computer games, be it Educational
or Action-Packed. We can offer a range of services in the gaming
industry to assist with your project. If you wish to get in touch with
us regarding an upcoming or existing project, please do not hesitate to
contact us. You may contact the corporate team or customer support team.
Both departments will liase. Thank you for your time.
